What We Do

We are an Independent Medicare Supplement Agency, we carry all the top rated carriers in your state. We do not work for an Insurance Company We Work for You! You pay the exact same for your Medicare Supplement Plans going with as us as you would by going direct to the carrier.

The benefits of going with Medicare Solutions Team are that we carefully watch the Medicare Supplement companies rate increases and we know what provider has the most stable rates in your area. There is never a fee for our Services, so let us do the searching for you and find the right Medicare Supplement to fit your needs and your budget.

If you can answer and email, you can do the application, we have invested heavily in software and online meeting products that allows you to meet me in real time and to follow along as we fill out your application. I feel this is very important to keep you, our client, informed as the process goes along. By going with online meetings we eliminate the need for a salesman to enter your house, and disrupt your daily life.

First Class Care

While the monthly premiums are generally higher than a Medicare Advantage Plan, you can eliminate copays and the expensive Part A deductible.  Making your overall care more affordable.

With a Medicare Supplement Plan you may go to any doctor or any facility that accepts Medicare.

Guaranteed Renewable

Your Medicare Supplement Policy can not be canceled for any reason other than non-payment.  Rest easy knowing that as long as you are paying your premium your coverage must stay in-force.

Medicare Supplement Plans

Medicare Supplements are just as the name says, they supplement Medicare.  They do this by paying what Medicare does not pay.  For most of the United States Medicare Supplements (Medigap) plans are standardized by the letters A-N.  The table below breaks down the benefits of each plan.  WI, MN and MA are standardized in a different way.  The 3 most popular plans are Plan G, F (the plan F will no longer be offered in 2020) and N.  For most states the Plan G offers the most benefits for your premium dollar.

Medicare Advantage Plans

A Medicare Advantage Plan is where a private insurance company administers your Medicare.  You still have Medicare Parts A and B but there will be some give and takes with the benefits.

Most people will call anything thing the have with Medicare a “Supplement”, but a Medicare Advantage Plan is not a Supplement.  With most Medicare Advantage Plans you will have copays for every procedure and will have to stay in a “Network”.

A Medicare Health Plan or Advantage plan does have some benefits over original Medicare, in fact a company offering a Medicare Advantage Plan must have benefits at least as good as original Medicare.

You can go into a Medicare Advantage plan during your original open enrollment period and you can change plans during the Annual Open Enrollment period 15 Oct – 07 Dec of every year.  There is never any underwriting for a Medicare Advantage Plan.

Part D | Prescription Drug Plan

The final part of Medicare is Part D or Prescription Drug Plan. A part D drug plan is sold by private insurance companies, but the plans or monitored by CMS or Medicare. Every plan must be submitted to Medicare (CMS) for approval and each has to follow minimum standards.

All plans are all scored or graded on a star rating system, from 5 to 1 five being the highest or best rating, this system affects the amount that the plan is paid by Medicare, they all strive to get a 5 star rating.

With a Part D you will pay a monthly premium and you will have copay’s on your prescriptions, you also may have a deductible. The copay price is determined by which tier the prescription is in the higher the tier normally the higher the copay.

Medicare Education

Medicare is made up of 4 parts, part A, B, C and D.  Only two of the parts come directly from Medicare, parts A & B, the other two parts C and D are purchased from a private insurance company and are monitored by Medicare.

Part A | Cost

You usually don’t pay a monthly premium for Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) coverage if you or your spouse paid Medicare taxes for a certain amount of time while working. This is sometimes called “premium-free Part A.”  Most people get premium-free Part A.

You can get premium-free Part A at 65 if:

1.  You already get retirement benefits from Social Security or the Railroad Retirement Board.

2.  You’re eligible to get Social Security or Railroad benefits but haven’t filed for them yet.

 3.  You or your spouse had Medicare-covered government employment.

If you’re under 65, you can get premium-free Part A if:

1.  You got Social Security or Railroad Retirement Board disability benefits for 24 months.

2.  You have End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and meet certain requirements.

Part A premiums:

If you buy Part A, you’ll pay up to $413 each month in 2018. If you paid Medicare taxes for less than 30 quarters, the standard Part A premium is $413. If you paid Medicare taxes for 30-39 quarters, the standard Part A premium is $227.

In most cases, if you choose to buy Part A, you must also have Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) and pay monthly premiums for both. Contact Social Security for more information about the Part A premium.

Some people automatically get Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance).

2018 Part B

The standard Part B premium amount in 2018 will be $134 (or higher depending on your income). However, some people who get Social Security benefits pay less than this amount ($130 on average). You’ll pay the standard premium amount (or higher) if:

  • You enroll in Part B for the first time in 2018.
  • You don’t get Social Security benefits.
  • You’re directly billed for your Part B premiums (meaning they aren’t taken out of your Social Security benefits).
  • You have Medicare and Medicaid, and Medicaid pays your premiums. (Your state will pay the standard premium amount of $134.)
  • Your modified adjusted gross income as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago is above a certain amount. If so, you’ll pay the standard premium amount and an Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). IRMAA is an extra charge added to your premium.

About Us

Area We Serve

As you can see by the map, we are licensed in most of the country.  If you are in a state that we are not licensed in, we can still help.  It just takes a few days to get the license, and we can quote all 50 states.

In the states that we serve, we carry all the top providers.  That means if there is a good deal to be had for a Medicare Supplement, WE HAVE IT.

My name is Loran Marmes, I am the owner of Medicare Solutions team, and I would like to take a moment to explain why we are your best option when it comes to Medicare Supplements in Wisconsin.

First of all we are an Independent Agency, we contract with all of the top rated carriers in the state to offer you products and pricing tailored to your needs and budget.

Unlike a captive agency that only has 1 company and a handful of products, we don’t try to force you into something that doesn’t fit just to get a sale.

If a company no longer performs for our clients or engages in bad business practices, we fire them and no longer offer their products. Your needs come before that of any Insurance Company.

I strongly believe in education before the applying for coverage, that process includes me learning about your needs and circumstances as well as educating you on the various products and companies.

This philosophy not only makes for a good working relationship but ensures that you get the right Supplemental Insurance policy to protect your family at a price you can afford.

When you call, you will speak to a live person and not some automated machine with 10 choices, none of which fit your problem. We can be contacted by chat, email or phone, whichever is most convenient for you.

I am licensed in 43 states and sell across most of the country and service 98% of my clients this way, if you can open an email and click a link this process will work for you.

When agents have to travel and meet face to face they incur expenses and sometimes they are more worried about how much commission they are going to make to cover those expenses, than what is actually the best product for you.

A little information about myself: I was born and raised in Pewaukee Wisconsin and joined the U.S. Navy directly upon graduating Pewaukee high school. I was stationed for most of my tour in Washington State, attached to an A-6 Intruder squadron.

We were assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise and made 1 world cruise and 1 WESTPAC cruise. While in the service I married my high school sweetheart and we were blessed with 2 children. (now grown)

After my four year tour of duty I went into printing as a trade, and worked at various press rooms and newspapers throughout Wisconsin, both as a pressman and as press-room foreman.

My greatest love in printing was working with the clients and helping them solve their problems. As the printing market drastically changed from several small town, mom and pop type shops to centrally located, conglomerate owned shops I started looking for the next chapter in my life.

I had family in the insurance business and with working twelve hour days half of the week, got my Health and Life Insurance license. I worked Thursday thru Sat and every other Sunday printing and sold insurance the other days of the week.

While the seven day a week schedule was tough for two years it did allow me to slowly learn my craft and ease into it, without worrying how I would pay the bills. I then retired after 2 years of that schedule and focused all my attention to the insurance market.

I specialize in Medicare Supplements because, I thoroughly enjoy working with seniors. It is my passion to not only sell them the correct product for their needs and budget but to help educate them on the Medicare process and coverage.

I started in the Medicare Market at first to help my current health clients ease into the next chapter of their life. While doing this I found that most agents were concentrated on just pushing a product. I realized that I had more to offer and set out to make the transition into Medicare as easy as possible for those turning 65.

I saw that I could offer the most help by educating people on what products they need to protect their family, and help them find the coverage at a price they can afford. I have made several video’s on Medicare and have a Youtube channel dedicated to education on Medicare and Medicare products.

Whether you are new to Medicare or just looking to change plans, we can help.

How It Works
Simple 3 Steps Process

1.  Enter Your Zip Code
2.  Fill out the Easy Form
3.  You Will See Your Instant Quote

*  An agent will follow up with you to confirm your quote.  We do this for many reasons and most customers find they get lower rates.

**  Some Companies offer “Household Discounts” others offer “Spousal Discounts” and some companies will have up coming rate increases.  Unless you work with these companies on a daily basis, as we do, you would have no way of knowing these details, and the rates you see could be higher than you actually would need to pay.

What Our Customers Say

Loran did a nice job of explaining Medicare supplement plans and what plan was best for me. He represents a number of Insurance companies and supplied us with prices from a variety of companies before we met with him. He took the time to explain Part D to us so we would be familiar with that also. He was friendly, professional and we enjoyed working with him.
